# Batch Purchases

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Ticket purchasing in the Megapot app is closed.** This page describes how large protocol-level orders are split on-chain. Autoplay in the app has been removed. The app shuts down on December 1, 2026; the protocol continues to run. [Read Announcement](https://megapot.io/blog/thank-you-for-playing).

When you buy a large number of tickets at once, Megapot automatically splits your order into smaller batches. This keeps your purchase reliable and secure.

## Why Purchases Are Batched

Blockchain transactions have size limits. Purchasing many tickets in a single transaction could exceed these limits, causing the transaction to fail.

Batching solves this by:

* Breaking large orders into manageable chunks
* Ensuring each transaction completes successfully

You do not need to do anything different. Megapot handles the batching automatically when your order exceeds the per-transaction limit.

## What to Expect

For large orders, here is what happens:

1. **Single payment** - You pay once upfront for your entire order
2. **Automatic processing** - The system handles splitting and executing each batch
3. **Progressive delivery** - Tickets appear in your wallet as each batch completes
4. **Brief wait time** - Large orders may take a few minutes to fully process

The app shows your progress so you always know how many tickets have been purchased.

## Your Funds Are Secure

Your funds remain safe throughout the batching process:

* **Paid upfront** - Your full payment is secured before any tickets are minted
* **Guaranteed delivery** - Once paid, all your tickets will be minted
* **On-chain security** - Every ticket purchase is recorded on the blockchain

## Frequently Asked Questions

**How many tickets trigger batching?**

Batching kicks in for larger orders. For most purchases, you will not notice any difference. The exact threshold depends on current network conditions.

**Do batched tickets have the same odds?**

Absolutely. Batched tickets are identical to regular tickets. They are eligible for all prize tiers, including the jackpot.
